In dieser Doppelveranstaltung wird der Kurzfilm "CLOWN*ESSES" von Jana Rothe präsentiert, gefolgt von der Live-Aufführung von "THE REQUIEM OF SOPHIE WITHMAN" von Clémence Caillouel.
"CLOWN*ESSES" ist ein Kurzfilm, der das Leben feministischer Clowns erkundet. Mit Gözde Atalay, der Regisseurin von "The Requiem of Sophie Withman", sowie anderen weiblichen und nicht-binären Clowns, bietet er Einblicke in den künstlerischen Prozess dieser dunklen Comedy-Performance.
"CLOWN*ESSES" zeigt das Leben zeitgenössischer feministischer Clowns, die die Welt jenseits erlernter Strukturen auf den Kopf stellen. Die Clown*essen Gözde und Lokke emanzipieren sich von patriarchalen Strukturen und Darstellungen auf der Suche nach ihrer ganz eigenen Heimat. Zwischen Bühne und Alltag finden sie in der Transformation ihre Konstante und treten in einen Dialog mit sich selbst und der Welt. Eine unterschätzte Theaterkunst wird zur Nische des Feminismus. "CLOWN*ESSES" is a short film exploring the lives of feminist clowns. Featuring Gözde Atalay, the director of "The Requiem of Sophie Withman," among other female and non-binary clowns, it provides insight into the artistic process of this dark comedy performance.
"CLOWN*ESSES" shows the lives of contemporary feminist clowns who turn the world upside down beyond learned structures. The clown*esses Gözde and Lokke emancipate themselves from patriarchal structures and representations in search of their very own homeland.
